About this fabric

Its dark tone reads cool and quietly saturated, with the blue-green cast giving the colour more depth than a straightforward navy. The surface has the soft, diffuse appearance associated with velvet, while the close view remains completely plain and free from a woven design. Composed of 71% polyester, 17% acrylic and 12% cotton, it is supplied at approximately 140cm wide. The listed usage covers curtains and fixed upholstery, with Contract and General Domestic grading.

How to use it

Use this deep marine blue on a structured sofa or occasional chair where its dark, softly brushed surface can provide visual depth. It also makes atmospheric curtains, especially alongside pale neutrals, warm timber or restrained blue-green accents.

A dark, softly textured marine velvet for tailored upholstery or full, atmospheric curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
