Tango Velvet Ochre is a saturated golden-yellow velvet with a softly shaded surface and a deep, warm presence. The plain face allows its colour and subtle pile direction to do the visual work.

About this fabric

This 140cm-wide plain velvet combines 12% cotton, 17% acrylic and 71% polyester. Its ochre tone sits between rich yellow and mellow gold, with darker areas appearing where the pile turns away from the light. The close, even surface has the characteristic soft nap of velvet rather than a visible woven motif. It is specified for curtains and fixed upholstery, with Contract and General Domestic upholstery grades.

How to use it

Use this warm ochre colourway to bring a concentrated golden note to a plain armchair, banquette or curtain, especially alongside earthy neutrals and dark timber. As a curtain, its velvet pile will give the yellow-gold shade added depth across folds.

The warm ochre-gold velvet adds rich colour to fixed upholstery while also working as a full, softly absorbing curtain fabric.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
