About this fabric

The rosewood tone sits between burnt terracotta and reddish brown, with a muted warmth that becomes darker where the nap changes direction. This is a plain velvet with a smooth, close surface and gentle light-catching variation across the swatch. At approximately 140cm wide, it is specified for curtains and fixed upholstery and is suitable for Contract and General Domestic use. The composition is 12% cotton, 17% acrylic and 71% polyester; care is listed as Delicate Wash 30°C or Dry Clean.

How to use it

Use Rosewood on a reading chair, upholstered bench or headboard where its warm red-brown depth can anchor a room. It also brings a dramatic, enveloping note to full-length curtains, especially alongside aged wood, cream or softly contrasting stone tones.

Use this warm rosewood velvet to bring depth to upholstered seating, headboards or rich curtain details.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
