About this fabric

The image shows a russet-red ground crossed by narrow tan, ochre and muted cream lines, creating a varied plaid rather than a flat block colour. Fine vertical and horizontal stripes form larger brick-red and brown-red checks across the surface. The woven texture slightly softens the contrast between the stripes, giving the pattern a mellow, timeworn appearance. Its medium-scale geometry reads clearly while retaining the warmth and depth of the darker red-brown base.

How to use it

Use this warm russet colourway on a country armchair, dining seat or relaxed curtain, pairing it with aged timber, ochre accents and quiet neutral walls. The tan and cream lines also provide an easy bridge to natural linens and weathered leather.

The warm russet and ochre check brings an inviting country character to upholstery, curtains and layered interiors.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
