ANACONDA Cut-Velvet - Noir

fabric Velvet1-FA-ANC-VE-NOI-XXX-XXX

ANACONDA Cut-Velvet in Noir presents an ornate damask pattern in near-black velvet against a charcoal-black ground. The cut pile gives the scrolling foliage and rounded motifs visible relief, while the low-key palette keeps the overall effect shadowy and atmospheric.

About this fabric

Catalogued as Velvet, this heavy-looking textile is best suited to upholstery, where its sculptural surface can be appreciated across a chair, sofa or occasional piece. The pattern repeats with symmetrical scrolling forms, stylised leaves and floral medallions, all rendered in dense black against subtly lighter charcoal. As the pile changes direction, selected motifs catch a muted sheen, creating depth without introducing a contrasting colour. Noir has a formal, enveloping character that reads more quietly than a stark black-and-white damask.

How to use it

Use Noir on a statement armchair, headboard or occasional sofa in a room with charcoal, smoked-grey and black accents. Pair it with aged metal, dark timber and soft warm lighting to bring out the cut velvet’s shifting relief.

A deep Noir cut velvet with a dramatic damask repeat, ideal for statement upholstery and richly layered interiors.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
