About this fabric

The ecru background keeps the overall impression warm and parchment-like, allowing muted teal, sage, ochre, rust and deep red details to stand out without feeling harsh. A reclining lion, perched birds, a serpent, rabbits and other small creatures appear among palms, flowers, foliage and scrolling botanical forms. The varied motifs create a medium-scale repeat with plenty of visual detail, while the restrained ecru base gives the colourway a quieter, more collected mood than a brighter ground would.
