Helianthus Velvet Vermillion/Harissa/Fig Leaf

Colour 2 Fabrics VelvetHAF0452-01

About this fabric

This Harlequin velvet weighs 416gsm and has a useable width of 134.7cm, giving the design a substantial presence for upholstery. Vermillion and harissa petals move between vivid scarlet, burnt orange and warm rust, while fig-leaf greens and near-black foliage anchor the composition. The dense floral arrangement repeats over 64.5cm vertically and 134.7cm horizontally, with the soft surface catching light unevenly across the petals and darker ground. With 57.7 threads per centimetre, it has a closely formed construction appropriate to a richly finished seating piece.

How to use it

Use this warm, deep red-and-green colourway on a feature armchair, headboard or compact sofa, balancing its busy floral surface with dark timber, aged brass and plain olive or charcoal textiles.

A richly coloured floral velvet suited to statement upholstery and occasional chairs.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
