Harlequin

Flores Rust/Ruby/Nordic Blue

Flores Rust/Ruby/Nordic Blue brings loose, painterly blooms together on a warm cream ground. Rust and ruby petals give the design warmth, while Nordic blue brushstrokes add a cooler, weathered contrast.

About this fabric

The large floral motifs combine burnt rust, deep ruby, muted blue and charcoal-grey marks, with softly irregular edges that resemble watercolour or ink washes. The 137 cm usable width gives the composition room to develop across a full panel or upholstered surface. With a 300 gsm weight and 49.5 threads per cm, this is a substantial mid-weight fabric suited to both upholstery and drapery. Its 85.7 cm vertical repeat and 137.2 cm horizontal repeat should be allowed for when matching the widely spaced blooms.

How to use it

Use this colourway to warm a cream, taupe or natural-toned room, repeating the rust and ruby in cushions or painted wood while picking up the Nordic blue in a smaller accent. It is especially effective on an occasional chair, headboard or full-length curtain where the broad floral repeat can be seen.

A warm cream floral ground with rust, ruby and cool blue accents for expressive upholstery or curtains.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Flores Rust/Ruby/Nordic Blue without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
