About this fabric

The check is built from deep denim-blue blocks softened by ochre, parchment and creamy highlights, creating a gently weathered impression rather than a sharp geometric contrast. Vertical and horizontal threads remain visible across the surface, adding a fine gridded texture and subtle shifts where the light catches the weave. At 500gsm, with 52 threads per cm, this is a substantial textile with the visual depth suited to upholstery. It has a 35cm vertical and horizontal pattern repeat and a usable width of 140cm.

How to use it

Use the cool denim base on a reading chair, sofa or headboard, then draw out the warmer ochre notes with aged timber, tan leather or brass accents. Pale walls and unpatterned cream textiles will keep the softly layered check feeling spacious.

Use this substantial denim-and-ochre check on upholstery, paired with warm natural woods and quiet neutral plains.
