Montpellier Plains FabricHAF0383-38

Montpellier Ink reads as a deep, cool blue-teal across the swatch, with a fine, even woven grain visible beneath its near-solid surface. Its dark ink depth gives the plain cloth a composed, quietly dramatic character.

About this fabric

This colourway is a near-solid plain weave in a saturated ink blue softened by a subtle teal cast. The close, low-contrast texture keeps the surface understated while allowing the shade to shift gently between blue and green as the light moves across it. At 330 gsm, the cloth has a substantial mid-weight presence suitable for both upholstery and drapery. It has a 142 cm useable width, a 40 m standard length and no pattern repeat vertically or horizontally, with both repeats recorded as 0 cm.

How to use it

Use Montpellier Ink on a tailored chair, sofa or full-length curtain where its cool, dark blue-teal tone can anchor a room without introducing a visible motif. Balance the depth of the colour with pale woods, warm neutrals or softly contrasting blue-green accents.

Use this deep ink-teal plain weave to bring tailored colour and subtle texture to upholstery or drapery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
