Melodic Sheer Chalk/Parchment combines a chalk-white sheer ground with irregular parchment-coloured lines that drift across the cloth like loosely drawn contours. In the photographed hanging sample, daylight passes through the pale ground while the warmer lines remain softly defined.

About this fabric

The 104 gsm construction is visibly fine and translucent, making this colourway particularly suited to drapery rather than upholstery. Chalk white gives the cloth a clean, cool-lit base, while the muted parchment marks add gentle warmth without becoming saturated or heavy. The irregular angular motif is shown at a large scale, with a 115 cm vertical repeat and 119 cm horizontal repeat. Its useable width is 305 cm, and the standard length is 30 m, allowing the pattern to be read across generous curtain drops.

How to use it

Use it for full-height curtains in a bright sitting room or bedroom where the chalk ground can filter daylight and the parchment lines can pick up warm timber, linen or pale stone tones. The low-contrast colourway also works well when a patterned window treatment is wanted without making the room feel visually busy.

A light, sheer ground with warm parchment linework, suited to full-length curtains that soften daylight without losing pattern definition.
