Portland Mineral 1 has a quiet, tailored feel, with broad mineral-grey stripes laid over a soft cream ground. The effect is crisp but not stark, giving the design a clean architectural rhythm.

About this fabric

Woven in 100% cotton, Portland Mineral 1 combines a 137cm usable width with a 35cm horizontal pattern repeat and no vertical repeat. The stripe layout alternates pale chalky bands with cooler grey textured columns, including a finer central stripe that adds movement without crowding the cloth. With a 30,000 Martindale rating and heavy domestic upholstery grade, it is suitable for upholstery as well as drapery, accessories and FR-treatable applications. The finish reads matte and orderly, with the mineral tones keeping the pattern composed and easy to live with.

How to use it

Use this colourway where you want a restrained stripe that still has presence, such as Roman blinds, cushions or a compact armchair. Its cool cream and grey palette works well with white walls, pale oak and brushed nickel.

Pair with pale timber and brushed metal for a calm, tailored look.
