Herringbone Granite

Strathspey Fabric

Herringbone Granite is a deep, cool grey textile with a finely drawn herringbone weave. The close pattern creates subtle vertical movement, while the charcoal-and-grey threads give the surface a quietly textured appearance.

About this fabric

The small chevron weave is clearly visible across the swatch, forming narrow vertical bands rather than a bold, high-contrast pattern. Its granite-grey colouring sits close to charcoal, but the lighter woven threads prevent it from reading as flat black. The dense, orderly surface has a tailored look that is well suited to upholstery. No composition, width, rub test or performance features have been supplied for this colourway.

How to use it

Use Herringbone Granite on a structured armchair, sofa or dining seat where its cool charcoal-grey tone can anchor softer neutral walls and warm timber. Pair it with brushed metal, pale oak or muted blue accents to bring out the weave’s restrained contrast.

Its cool granite-grey tone and disciplined herringbone texture suit tailored upholstery in contemporary or classic rooms.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
