Herringbone Porcelain
Strathspey Fabric
Herringbone Porcelain has a softly luminous, porcelain-cream ground with a delicate herringbone texture visible across the surface. Its restrained pattern gives the pale colour a little woven depth without making it appear busy.

About this fabric
The close-up shows very fine, closely spaced diagonal herringbone lines worked into a smooth, even textile surface. This colourway reads as a light cream rather than stark white, with a faintly cool, chalky cast that keeps it feeling clean and quiet. Subtle changes in the weave create gentle tonal variation as the light catches the raised direction of the herringbone. The fine scale and understated contrast make the pattern particularly suited to calm, tailored drapery schemes.
How to use it
Use this pale porcelain cream at windows where you want softness without visual weight, pairing it with warm white walls, pale timber and restrained grey-beige upholstery. Its fine herringbone texture can also add quiet definition to an otherwise tonal room.
Its light porcelain tone and finely woven herringbone give curtains a quiet, tailored finish.

Pairs well with
Herringbone Porcelain is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
