Hermitage Castle Inverlochy

Hermitage Castle Undyed Wools Fabric

Hermitage Castle Inverlochy has a softly mottled ground of warm cream and pale grey, crossed by irregular vertical zigzag bands. Its close, tactile weave gives the surface a gently nubby depth rather than a flat, printed appearance.

About this fabric

The colourway combines an undyed-looking ivory cream with cool grey flecks, creating a muted, mineral character that changes subtly as the raised weave catches the light. Irregular broken stripes run vertically across the face, with softened edges that keep the pattern relaxed and organic. The substantial-looking woollen texture makes it well suited to upholstery, where the medium-scale movement can add interest without dominating a chair or sofa. No performance features are noted for this fabric.

How to use it

Use this cream-and-grey colourway on a reading chair, headboard or relaxed sofa, pairing it with chalky neutrals, pale timber and charcoal accents to bring out its cool tonal contrast.

A softly textured natural-looking weave that brings quiet movement to upholstered pieces.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
