Herringbone Marble

Strathspey Fabric

Herringbone Marble is a very pale, cool grey textile with a softly weathered, stone-like appearance. Fine chevron rows run across the surface, creating a restrained texture rather than a bold pattern.

About this fabric

The close herringbone weave is visible as tiny alternating lines, with the raised direction of the yarn catching the light more softly than the surrounding ground. Its marble-grey tone sits between silver grey and pale warm stone, giving the colourway a quiet depth without strong contrast. The tightly woven appearance makes it suitable to consider for both upholstery and drapery, subject to the intended application. No composition, width, rub test or performance features are supplied for this fabric.

How to use it

Use Herringbone Marble to bring a cool, light stone tone to a tailored armchair, sofa or full-length curtain, pairing it with chalky whites, pale timber and deeper charcoal accents for definition.

Its cool, pale grey tone suits clean-lined upholstery and softly tailored window treatments.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
