Tartans Fabric

MacLeod Htg Mtd presents a strong tartan grid in deep forest green, blue-green teal and near-black, sharpened by narrow red and ochre overcheck lines. Its woven surface and measured block pattern give the colourway a grounded, tailored character.

About this fabric

The close diagonal twill is clearly visible across the swatch, adding fine texture beneath the orderly tartan checks. Forest green dominates the larger blocks, while teal and navy-blue areas bring cooler depth; slim red lines provide a restrained note of contrast and the ochre lines catch the eye as warm, precise accents. The pattern reads as a medium-scale repeat with a firm, upholstery-appropriate visual weight. No performance features are noted for this colourway, so suitability should be assessed against the intended project.

How to use it

Pair the deep green and teal ground with dark stained wood, aged leather or warm brass, using the red and ochre lines as small accent colours in cushions or trim. It suits a tailored library chair, window seat or classic sofa where the tartan can remain the focal point.

Use this structured tartan on a statement chair, footstool or traditional upholstered piece.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
