Orkney Boucle Fabric

Orkney Fennel has a quiet, earthy presence, with a muted taupe-brown tone and a softly blurred boucle surface. Its close, nubby texture creates gentle variation rather than a defined pattern.

About this fabric

The visible pile is richly tactile, with small boucle loops creating a cloudy, irregular surface across the swatch. Its fennel tone reads as a subdued taupe-brown, carrying a restrained olive warmth rather than a clear green or yellow cast. The low-contrast texture gives the colour depth while keeping the overall effect calm and understated. No composition, width or rub-test specification has been supplied for this fabric.

How to use it

Use Orkney Fennel on a generously shaped armchair, sofa or footstool where its muted fennel-taupe colouring can soften darker timber and complement warm neutrals. Pair it with chalky stone, aged brown leather or deep olive accents to draw out the shade’s earthy undertone.

A softly mottled fennel-taupe boucle that brings tactile warmth to upholstered seating and occasional furniture.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
