Flax Clove

Flax Fabric

Flax Clove presents a dense, matte brown ground with a quiet woven grain. Its clove tone reads warm and earthy, with a subtle russet lift where the light meets the threads.

About this fabric

Flax Clove is a deep, warm brown with a subtle russet cast, rather than a flat neutral. The close plain weave shows fine horizontal and vertical variation, giving the surface a quiet, linen-like grain and restrained depth. Light catches the slightly uneven threads softly, so the colour shifts gently across the swatch instead of appearing glossy. No performance features, composition, width or rub-test data are supplied for this exact fabric.

How to use it

Use this warm clove-brown colourway to add grounded depth to a relaxed sitting room, pairing it with oat, parchment and soft terracotta tones. Its matte woven texture also works well against pale timber and aged brass.

A warm clove-brown woven ground that brings earthy depth to upholstery, curtains and layered neutral schemes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
