Knight Buff

Heir Fabric

Knight Buff combines warm buff-beige ground with irregular cream vertical stripes, creating a softly rustic interpretation of a classic stripe. Its visibly nubby surface gives the colourway gentle depth rather than a flat, printed appearance.

About this fabric

The swatch is built from broad buff bands separated by narrow, uneven cream lines, with occasional fine striations adding movement within the vertical layout. The warm beige tone feels natural and quietly grounded, while the lighter stripes keep the overall effect open and fresh. A tactile woven surface is clearly visible across the close-up, giving the design a relaxed, textural character. The medium-scale stripe would read as a calm architectural accent when upholstered on a chair, sofa or headboard.

How to use it

Use Knight Buff on a relaxed armchair, dining seat or headboard alongside chalky whites, warm timber and natural linen. Its warm buff base works especially well where a stripe is wanted without introducing a strong contrast.

A warm, tactile stripe that brings gentle vertical rhythm to upholstered seating and headboards.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Knight Buff without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
