Northern Burnt Orange

Underground Volii Fabric

Northern Burnt Orange combines earthy rust-orange bars with charcoal blocks and a softly light cream ground. Its orderly grid has a tactile, vertically striated surface that gives the pattern depth without making the colourway feel bright.

About this fabric

The geometric repeat is formed from alternating horizontal charcoal bands and upright burnt-orange bars, with cream sections opening out between them. The orange reads warm and muted, while the deep charcoal introduces a cool counterpoint and gives the design definition. Close-up, the surface shows fine vertical striations that soften the crispness of the checked construction. No composition, width, rub test or performance features were supplied for this fabric.

How to use it

Pair this colourway with warm timber, aged leather and chalky neutrals to draw out its burnt-orange warmth, or use charcoal accents to echo the darker grid lines. Its structured pattern is particularly suited to a tailored chair, headboard or statement seat.

Use this warm, graphic colourway to bring earthy orange, charcoal depth and a light cream ground to tailored upholstery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
