Metropolitan Blackcurrant

Underground Volii Fabric

Metropolitan Blackcurrant brings a tightly ordered, pixel-like rhythm to the surface, with dark berry grounds interrupted by coral, wine, cream and muted red blocks. Its deep colour gives the geometric pattern a moody, saturated presence.

About this fabric

The visible design is formed from small and medium rectangular units arranged in irregular horizontal and vertical bands, creating a woven mosaic effect rather than a conventional repeated motif. Dark blackcurrant and burgundy dominate the ground, while coral red and oatmeal-coloured accents catch the eye in broken vertical and horizontal flashes. The surface reads as a structured textile with a softly tactile, closely woven appearance. No performance features are noted for this fabric.

How to use it

Use Metropolitan Blackcurrant on a statement armchair, ottoman or sofa to anchor a room with its deep berry tone. Pair it with warm timber, aged brass and quiet oatmeal furnishings to pick up the lighter blocks without competing with the graphic weave.

Use this deep blackcurrant geometric weave to bring graphic rhythm and rich contrast to upholstered seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
