About this fabric

This plain Chelsea textile reads as a saturated ruby red, shaded toward burgundy in the darker areas of the weave. Fine irregularity in the surface catches the light softly, creating a gently mottled appearance without a visible motif. The even, close texture gives it a versatile mid-weight look suited to upholstery or drapery. No performance features are noted for this fabric, so project-specific suitability should be confirmed against the intended use.

How to use it

Use Pure Ruby to bring depth to a seating piece or full-length curtain, pairing its warm, dark red tone with oatmeal, tobacco, charcoal or aged brass accents.

Use this deep ruby red as a rich grounding colour with warm neutrals, dark timber or aged brass.

Pairs well with

Pure Ruby is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
