About this fabric
This colourway combines burgundy and brick-red tones with black lines and warm cream highlights, giving the check a deep, autumnal character rather than a bright primary-red appearance. The medium-scale pattern is made up of overlapping squares and narrow linear bands, creating movement across the seat, arms and back. Its visibly substantial, textured surface is well suited to upholstery, particularly on rounded chairs where the checks can follow the form. No performance features are noted in the supplied information.
How to use it
Pair this red-and-black check with dark-stained timber, aged leather and warm neutrals to balance its graphic depth. It is especially effective on a statement armchair, club chair or compact footstool where the full pattern remains visible.
Use this rich, graphic check to give occasional chairs and footstools a confident vintage character.

Pairs well with
A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Piccadilly Theatre without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
