Northern Petrol

Underground Voliii Fabric

Northern Petrol combines a deep petrol-blue ground with a disciplined grid of pale grey blocks and narrow ochre bars. Its repeated geometry has a cool, architectural presence, while the woven surface gives the colour subtle depth.

About this fabric

The dominant petrol tone is dark, cool and saturated, creating a strong backdrop for the quieter grey elements. Pale grey horizontal bands and square blocks form a measured lattice across the design, with slim ochre-gold vertical bars adding warmth and contrast. Fine vertical striations are visible through the coloured areas, giving the fabric a tactile woven character rather than a flat printed appearance. The medium-scale repeat reads clearly across an upholstered surface and gives chairs, benches or sofas a smart graphic finish.

How to use it

Pair Northern Petrol with charcoal, ink blue and brushed metal for a cool modern scheme, or pick out its ochre bars with warm timber and tobacco leather. Its deep blue-green ground works particularly well on structured seating where the geometric repeat can remain visible.

Use this structured petrol, grey and ochre design to give upholstered seating a crisp contemporary character.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
