About this fabric

The colourway is grounded in deep tobacco and olive-brown tones, lifted by repeated cream rectangles and narrow charcoal-brown lines. Its pattern shifts between vertical striping, small checks and larger offset blocks, creating a rhythmic geometric surface rather than a single uniform check. The substantial-looking upholstery is shown wrapping the sofa and footstool, where the changing directions of the motif emphasise their rounded, tailored forms. No composition, width or rub-test specification has been supplied for this fabric.

How to use it

Pair Northern Fern with deep burgundy, warm walnut and aged brass to draw out its rich tobacco depth, or balance it with parchment and natural linen for a lighter scheme. Use it on a statement sofa or ottoman, repeating the olive-brown and cream through smaller cushions.

Use this earthy geometric upholstery to bring structured pattern and layered brown-green depth to sofas, footstools and cushions.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
