About this fabric

The colourway is anchored by dark brown and red-brown stripes, with brighter rust and muted terracotta squares adding rhythm across the face of the cloth. The pattern has a distinctive woven appearance, with soft variations in tone that stop the strong geometry from looking flat. Its darker ground gives the design a warm, intimate mood, while the lighter blocks catch the eye as the pattern repeats. No composition, width, rub-test or other performance specification has been supplied for this fabric.

How to use it

Use Northern Theatre on an occasional chair, headboard or statement sofa where its rust-red warmth can sit against tobacco leather, dark timber or subdued neutral walls. Keep surrounding patterns quieter so the vertical grid remains the room's graphic focal point.

Use this deep rust and brown geometric weave to bring warmth and graphic structure to upholstered seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
