Cambremer - Encre

Belle Époque Fabric4265-12

Cambremer in Encre has a cool, finely balanced character, with dark ink-blue lines crossing a pale grey ground in a precise micro-check. The close-up reveals a compact woven surface with enough tonal variation to keep the pattern from appearing flat.

About this fabric

The design is formed from closely spaced vertical and horizontal lines, creating a small check that reads almost like a fine graph-paper grid. Ink blue gives the colourway depth, while the pale grey threads soften the contrast and prevent it from feeling stark. The surface appears structured and finely woven rather than plush, with the darker threads catching the eye as the light moves across the cloth. No composition, width, rub test or performance specification has been supplied for this fabric.

How to use it

Pair Encre with chalky whites, cool stone and charcoal for a restrained, tailored room, or use it to sharpen warmer timber and natural textures without introducing a bright accent colour.

Use this cool ink-and-grey check to bring tailored definition to upholstery, curtains or layered neutral schemes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
