Minerva Vapour

Muscovy Fabric

Minerva Vapour presents a softly muted grey damask, with sweeping acanthus leaves and floral forms arranged in a richly scrolling repeat. Its tonal contrast gives the pattern definition while retaining a calm, misted appearance.

About this fabric

The image shows a cool vapour-grey ground overlaid with darker grey damask scrolls, curling leaves and clustered floral heads. The broad motifs have a softly textured surface, allowing the light to pick out the foliage without making the colourway feel high contrast. Its restrained, blue-leaning grey tone reads more atmospheric than warm, giving the traditional pattern a composed contemporary character. No composition, width, usage or rub-test specification has been supplied for this fabric.

How to use it

Use Minerva Vapour to bring quiet formality to a grey or blue-grey scheme, particularly on a classic armchair, tailored curtains or cushions where the scrolling foliage can be seen clearly. Pair it with chalky whites, smoke grey and aged silver for a cool, layered interior.

The cool grey palette and scrolling damask create a quietly formal look for upholstery, curtains or coordinated soft furnishings.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
