Gramercy Ottanio

Timeless Velvets Velvet

Gramercy Ottanio is a deeply saturated blue-green velvet with a shadowed, cloud-like surface. Its dark teal tone shifts subtly across the pile, creating a rich, atmospheric impression rather than a flat block of colour.

About this fabric

Catalogued as a velvet, Gramercy Ottanio is best suited to upholstery where its dense-looking surface and deep colour can be fully appreciated. The Ottanio shade sits between blue and green, reading as a cool, inky teal with darker pooling through the softly irregular texture. Light catches selected areas of the pile while leaving other sections almost black, giving the swatch a quietly dimensional finish. There is no separate motif visible; the interest comes from the tonal movement within the velvet itself.

How to use it

Use this dark blue-green teal on a statement chair, sofa or headboard, especially against warm timber, aged brass or pale stone. Its low-lit depth also suits intimate rooms where a more atmospheric mood is wanted.

A deep, atmospheric teal velvet that brings saturated colour and soft tonal depth to upholstered seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
