Willow Boughs Cream/Green

Morris 160th Anniversary Fabric FabricMOF0022-01

Willow Boughs Cream/Green layers curling leafy branches across a softly warm cream ground, with pale and deep sage greens giving the botanical drawing a gently varied depth. Fine brown stems thread through the foliage, adding definition without darkening the overall colourway.

About this fabric

The 380 gsm fabric has a substantial presence suited to upholstery, while the detailed repeat remains clear across the surface. Its usable width is 137 cm, with a 46 cm vertical repeat and 28 cm horizontal repeat that create a closely interlocking arrangement of branches and leaves. The cream background keeps the design light, while the mix of subdued sage, blue-green and deeper green marks makes the pattern feel cooler and more layered than a plain green textile. A standard length of 60 m supports larger coordinated upholstery requirements.

How to use it

Use this cream-and-sage colourway on a statement armchair, headboard or window seat, pairing it with warm natural woods and quiet cream upholstery accents. The muted green foliage also works well with soft stone, pale olive and aged brass.

A substantial botanical textile for upholstered pieces where its layered leafy pattern can be appreciated.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Willow Boughs Cream/Green without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
