Mary Isobel Rose/Artichoke

Morris and Friends Wallpapers WallpaperMOW0049-02

Mary Isobel Rose/Artichoke layers curling stems, stylised leaves and abundant flowers across a softly artichoke-green ground. Muted rose, dusty blue, terracotta and cream details give the design a gently weathered, collected appearance.

About this fabric

The pale artichoke background keeps this colourway light, while rose-pink and terracotta blooms add warmth against the cooler blue-green accents. Fine olive stems wind through the repeat, with small leaves and outlined flowers creating a richly detailed botanical surface rather than a flat, graphic print. The wallpaper has a 52 cm usable width, a substantial 76.2 cm vertical pattern repeat and a 146 gsm weight. Supplied in a standard 10.05 m length, it is suited to rooms where a softly historic floral pattern can be appreciated at close range.

How to use it

Pair this artichoke colourway with warm cream, aged wood and muted terracotta furnishings to draw out its softer floral notes. It also works well behind a bed, in a reading room or across a small dining space where the generous repeat can be seen in full.

Use this softly coloured botanical wallpaper to bring layered pattern and gentle vintage character to a room.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Mary Isobel Rose/Artichoke without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
