Bramble Herball

Morris and Friends Volume I Fabrics FabricMOF0055-05

Bramble Herball is shown as a dense field of pale cream and sage-olive leaves, layered with russet-brown stems and tiny warm red accents. Its finely textured surface gives the muted colourway a softly aged, tapestry-like depth.

About this fabric

The 402 gsm weight gives Bramble Herball a substantial feel suited to upholstery, while the 137 cm usable width supports efficient cutting on furniture projects. Its botanical pattern repeats every 63.5 cm vertically and 34 cm horizontally, creating a closely packed rhythm of leaves and small flowers. The olive ground keeps the design cool and subdued, while cream foliage lifts the surface and russet details add restrained warmth. A thread count of 55 threads per cm contributes to the fabric’s visibly dense, finely woven character.

How to use it

Use this olive-led colourway on a traditional armchair, dining chair or ottoman where its cream foliage can brighten darker timber. Pair it with warm russet, aged brown and quiet natural neutrals to draw out the grounded depth of the print.

A dense heritage botanical in muted olive, cream and russet, well suited to traditional upholstery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
