About this fabric

The pattern combines curling green foliage with terracotta-rust flowers and pale cream blooms, creating a muted yet detailed botanical surface against the indigo background. At 230 gsm, this is a versatile mid-weight fabric suitable for both upholstery and drapery applications. Its 137 cm usable width supports practical cutting, while the 53 cm vertical and 35 cm horizontal repeats keep the floral rhythm clearly visible across a larger piece. The dense arrangement and restrained contrast make this colourway feel collected and traditional rather than bright or informal.

How to use it

Use Compton Indigo/Green on a reading chair, bench or relaxed curtain where its cool navy-indigo depth can sit alongside natural timber, olive paint and warm rust accessories. Cream details in the pattern provide a useful link to lighter upholstery or neutral walls.

Pair the cool indigo ground with warm wood, aged brass and quiet cream accents to balance the rust and green foliage.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
