About this fabric

The design is visibly packed with overlapping, curling acanthus leaves, outlined in dark green against a shadowed forest ground. Pale hemp-grey foliage lifts the surface, while olive and moss notes add warmth without making the colourway bright or saturated. At 532gsm with 85 threads per centimetre, this is a notably substantial fabric suited to upholstery. The pattern repeats every 85cm vertically and 66cm horizontally across a 138cm usable width, giving the large-scale foliage room to read clearly.

How to use it

Use the forest ground on a statement chair, sofa or footstool, pairing it with warm wood and muted hemp, stone or olive plains. The shaded palette works particularly well where the leaf outlines can be seen at close range.

The deep forest ground and pale hemp leaves give this heavy tapestry a richly traditional upholstery character.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
