About this fabric

Kintail in Millstone is a dense, tactile-looking weave built from warm taupe and tan yarns, crossed by narrow blue-grey vertical marks. The striping is deliberately uneven, with darker threads drifting and breaking through the lighter ground to create a gently rhythmic surface. Its close, substantial-looking construction makes it read as an upholstery-led textile, while the supplied record lists no performance features. The overall colour remains muted and earthy, with the blue-grey accents cooling the otherwise honeyed brown field.

How to use it

Use Millstone on an upholstered armchair, sofa or footstool where its warm taupe base can sit comfortably with timber, leather and natural neutrals. Repeat the blue-grey threads in cushions or painted details to draw out the cooler movement in the weave.

A warm, earthy woven stripe that brings subtle rhythm to upholstery and layered interiors.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
