Japura Wallcovering Soleil

Soleil pairs a pale, chalky cream background with an atmospheric arrangement of palms and undergrowth. Charcoal and blue-grey foliage is punctuated by soft yellow-olive leaves, giving the tropical scene a faded, sketch-like character.

About this wallpaper

This wallpaper shows a loose tropical composition of tall palms, feathery fronds and dense low foliage across a softly mottled pale ground. The leaves are rendered in layered charcoal, blue-grey and smoky olive-grey marks, with restrained mustard-yellow highlights on selected fronds and grasses. Against the light background, the dark palm trunks and broad leaves create a sense of depth without a saturated colour contrast. The painterly, slightly weathered treatment gives the Soleil colourway a quiet, airy feel.

How to use it

Use Soleil to bring a light, botanical backdrop to a relaxed bedroom, hallway or sitting room, where its chalky cream ground can keep the space open. Echo the print’s charcoal and blue-grey foliage with natural timber, pale upholstery and small accents of muted yellow-olive.

A light tropical palm scene in charcoal, blue-grey and muted yellow-olive, suited to relaxed interiors.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Japura Wallcovering Soleil without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
