Kemble Fabric

Kemble Smoke presents a broad, even check in soft smoke grey and pale ivory. The restrained contrast gives the pattern a calm, gently weathered appearance.

About this fabric

The large-scale grid is made from alternating smoke-grey and ivory blocks, with a softened tonal transition where the threads intersect. Its visible woven grain adds quiet texture across the otherwise orderly pattern, while the cool grey gives the colourway more depth than a plain neutral. The regular check reads relaxed rather than ornate and would bring clear proportion to a seat, blind or curtain. No performance features are noted for this fabric.

How to use it

Pair Kemble Smoke with chalky whites, pale timber and other cool neutrals for an airy, understated scheme. On upholstery, its broad check can provide a measured focal point; at a window, the soft grey-and-ivory balance keeps the room light.

Use the muted smoke-and-ivory check to add calm structure to upholstery or curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
