Launay Cassis

Launay Fabric

Launay Cassis is a deep cassis-plum fabric with a quiet, finely woven surface. Its dark berry tone reads almost black in the shadows, while the close weave reveals subtle thread variation in the light.

About this fabric

The image shows a dense plain weave built from fine horizontal and vertical threads, creating a restrained crosshatched texture rather than a visible motif. Its cassis colouring sits between blackened plum and deep burgundy, giving the surface considerable tonal depth. The low-contrast texture keeps the fabric composed and architectural, while occasional lighter threads prevent the colour from appearing flat. With its versatile woven handle suggested by the visible structure, it is suited to both upholstery and drapery.

How to use it

Use Launay Cassis to give a chair, sofa or pair of curtains a deeply saturated focal tone, particularly against warm ivory, stone or pale timber. Its near-black plum depth also works well with brushed metal and softly lit rooms where the weave can emerge gradually.

A richly dark plum woven texture that brings depth to upholstery, curtains and layered interiors.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
