Gracie Opal

Temperleylondonxromofabrics Fabric

Gracie Opal is a very pale opal-ivory colourway, traced with delicate taupe-grey floral and scrolling damask details. Its light ground gives the ornate pattern an airy, almost drawn-on appearance.

About this fabric

The design combines large symmetrical floral panels, curling foliage, small blossoms and decorative central medallions across the swatch. Fine taupe-grey outlines sit softly against the ivory ground, while the pale tonal contrast keeps the pattern refined rather than strongly graphic. Subtle creasing in the photographed swatch catches the light and adds gentle surface variation to the otherwise quiet colourway. The delicate-looking cloth is especially suited to drapery, where its pale ground can preserve a light, graceful feel.

How to use it

Use Gracie Opal for full-length curtains in a cream, chalk or pale stone room, pairing it with warm metallic accents that pick up the muted taupe linework. Its cool, softly faded tone also works well with upholstered pieces in oyster, dove grey or washed wood.

Use this pale opal colourway to soften formal windows while keeping the intricate damask linework light and airy.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
