About this fabric

As a velvet, Frieda Rumba Red has the plush, light-responsive surface associated with this catalogued fabric type. Its red is deep and warm rather than bright scarlet, reading with a restrained russet cast across the swatch. The plain face has no visible motif, allowing the colour and fine pile to provide the visual interest. Slight horizontal and directional tonal shifts are visible where the nap lies differently, giving the surface added depth.
