Romo

Zolani Charcoal

Zolani Charcoal combines a pale grey woven ground with fine charcoal flecks, creating a close-up texture that feels layered rather than flat. Its dense, irregular surface gives the colourway a quietly tactile character.

About this fabric

The fabric shows a compact, all-over weave built from light grey, off-white and charcoal threads, with small darker flecks dispersed across the surface. The charcoal marks add depth without forming a strong geometric motif, so the overall effect remains softly mottled and understated. Its visibly substantial woven texture makes it well suited to upholstery, particularly where a neutral covering needs more visual interest than a plain cloth. No performance features or further specification data are noted for this colourway.

How to use it

Use Zolani Charcoal on an armchair, sofa or dining seat where its cool grey base can sit comfortably with blackened wood, warm timber and off-white upholstery accents. The scattered charcoal flecks also make it easy to coordinate with darker metal details without introducing a bold pattern.

A dense, softly mottled charcoal-grey weave that brings subtle texture to contemporary upholstery.

Pairs well with

Zolani Charcoal is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
