About this colour

This shade reads as a muted olive with a warm, slightly smoky undertone, and its 5A5E3C value gives it enough weight to hold a room without feeling harsh. In a north-facing room it will look deeper and more subdued, with the brown side of the colour coming forward; in south light it softens and shows more of its green. It absorbs a fair amount of light, so it works best where you want colour to settle the space rather than bounce it around. On walls it sits well beside oak, walnut and aged brass, and on woodwork it gives a quiet contrast against pale linen, stone or warm white paint.

How to use it

King Kev suits sitting rooms, studies and boot rooms where a dark, calm green feels useful. It pairs well with natural woodwork, leather, ticking stripes and upholstery in oatmeal, rust or faded blue.

A deep olive green that brings calm and weight to a wall.
