Kind Regards

Kind Regards is a quietly muted green from Coat Paints, softened by a strong grey note and a pale, almost putty-like lightness. It sits in the Greens range, but it reads more like a restful green-grey than a fresh green.

About this colour

At #E0E0D4, Kind Regards is a light, low-chroma shade that lifts a room without feeling bright, and it takes on a gentle warmth on the wall. In north-facing light it can cool slightly and lean more stone-grey, while in south-facing rooms the green shows more clearly and the colour feels softer and fuller. It stays calm beside natural oak, painted joinery, linen, and muted patterned textiles, giving them a clean but not stark backdrop. In Flat Matt and Claypaint it will read especially quiet and diffuse, while Eggshell, Soft Sheen, Floor Paint and Exterior finishes will make the same colour feel a little crisper and more practical on woodwork or harder-working surfaces.

How to use it

It suits sitting rooms, bedrooms and hallways where you want a pale colour that does not compete with furniture or curtains. Pair it with timber trim, aged brass, cream upholstery and deeper olive or sage accents for a layered, settled look.

A pale green-grey like this keeps a wall light, soft and easy to live with.

Order it with the cloth

A pot comes off the same order as the fabric, so the wall and the chair in front of it are chosen together. The making is ours: cut, sewn and fitted in our own Heybridge workshop, with Simon over every stage.
