Dufrene Wallcovering Lava Rock

Dufrene Wallcovering in Lava Rock has a cool, stone-grey ground animated by dense charcoal fragments and broken pale-grey marks. Its closely packed, irregular texture reads like a finely weathered mineral surface.

About this wallpaper

This wallpaper colourway layers charcoal grey, mid grey and chalky pale-grey flecks into a compact, variegated surface. The fragmented marks are small and irregular, creating a textured impression rather than a clearly repeating motif. Lava Rock has a cool, subdued depth: lighter flecks catch the eye across the darker ground while keeping the overall effect restrained. As a wallcovering, it brings this tactile-looking mineral pattern to walls without relying on a bold geometric design.

How to use it

Pair Lava Rock with soft whites, graphite and pale timber for a cool, textural scheme, or use it behind darker furniture to make the pale mineral flecks stand out. Its restrained grey palette suits a study, hallway or contemporary living space.

Use its cool mineral-grey texture to add depth to contemporary rooms without introducing a strong, directional motif.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Dufrene Wallcovering Lava Rock without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
