Esala FabricSCF0017-03

Shibori Indigo/Linen brings a cool indigo rhythm to a softly textured linen-coloured ground. Its repeating eye-shaped motifs sit within a fine vertical grid, giving the design a graphic yet tactile appearance.

About this fabric

The pattern combines elongated, feathered indigo forms with slim vertical and horizontal lines, creating a regular geometric layout softened by the uneven, resist-dyed character visible in the motifs. The linen-toned ground keeps the colourway light, while the blue reads cool, muted and gently varied rather than sharply saturated. At 262 gsm, with 90.8 threads per cm, this is a substantial mid-weight fabric suited to both upholstery and drapery. Its 64 cm vertical repeat and 27.4 cm horizontal repeat give the pattern a clearly measured rhythm across the 137 cm usable width.

How to use it

Use the cool indigo and linen palette to bring definition to a pale, relaxed room: it would work well on a reading chair, bench cushion or lightly gathered curtain. Pair it with chalky whites, natural timber and soft grey-blue accents to echo the fabric’s quiet contrast.

A cool, graphic indigo-and-linen textile that suits relaxed upholstery, cushions and softly structured curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
