Oakham Embroidery Forest

Oakham Fabrics FabricSCF0142-02

Oakham Embroidery Forest combines deep forest-green vertical bands with slim teal lines and cream, creating a crisp, rhythmic stripe. The irregular scalloped edges and small oval details give the pattern a tactile, embroidered character.

About this fabric

The design is arranged in closely spaced vertical columns: dark green bands alternate with narrow teal stripes and cream channels edged by soft, pebble-like scallops. Small muted olive and brown details punctuate the cream areas, while the woven surface gives the colourway a gently raised, tactile appearance rather than a flat printed look. At 325 gsm and 139.5 cm usable width, it has the substance for upholstery as well as drapery. The pattern repeats every 12 cm vertically and 22.5 cm horizontally, making the striped layout easy to read across a larger surface.

How to use it

Pair the forest-green and teal depth with warm timber, cream upholstery plains or aged brass for a grounded, graphic scheme. The strong vertical direction suits dining-chair backs, occasional upholstery and curtains where the stripe can run uninterrupted.

Use the deep green and teal striping to bring crisp colour and a graphic rhythm to tailored upholstery, cushions or full-length curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
