Matchsticks Slate

Oakham Wallpapers WallpaperSCW0088-02

Matchsticks Slate from Scion’s Oakham Wallpapers collection pairs a softly off-white ground with evenly spaced slate-grey matchstick bars and small terracotta end dots. The cool grey lines give the design definition, while the muted rust accents keep it from feeling stark.

About this fabric

The repeated motif is made from three slim slate-grey vertical bars, capped at both ends by pairs of warm terracotta dots. Against the pale, slightly warm ground, this compact geometric arrangement reads crisp and quietly playful rather than high-contrast. The wallpaper has a 52 cm useable width and a standard length of 10.05 m. Its vertical pattern repeat is 27.5 cm, with a supplied horizontal repeat of 0 cm.

How to use it

Use this colourway where the off-white ground can brighten the room, then pick up the slate grey in painted joinery or upholstery and echo the terracotta dots through small ceramic or textile accents. Its measured repeat suits a hallway, home office or a neat contemporary dining space.

A softly off-white ground with slate-grey bars and terracotta dots brings restrained graphic colour to hallways, studies and contemporary living spaces.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
