About this fabric

At 491gsm, Taimi Barley is a substantial woven fabric suited to upholstery, with enough visual depth to support seating and other hard-working applications. The warm beige ground reads softly golden rather than grey, while the ivory chain motif creates a clean, graphic contrast across the cloth. A thread count of 90 threads per cm contributes to the closely woven look visible in the swatch. The fabric has a 141cm useable width and a 41cm vertical by 35.5cm horizontal pattern repeat.

How to use it

Pair the warm barley tone with natural timber, chalky walls and soft ivory upholstery details; the repeating geometric lines will add gentle rhythm to a chair, headboard or sofa without becoming visually harsh.

Use this warm barley-and-ivory geometric weave to bring understated structure to upholstered seating.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Taimi Barley without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
