Dabu Spirulina

Curios Weaves FabricSAF0444-04

Dabu Spirulina brings a fresh, grassy green ground to a neat all-over white motif with a hand-blocked feel. The contrast is bright and airy, giving the design a clean, graphic rhythm across the cloth.

About this fabric

This Sanderson Curios Weaves fabric has a usable width of 139 cm and a substantial 555 gsm weight, so it has the body to sit well on furniture as well as hang confidently at the window. The pattern repeat is 22.5 cm vertical by 23 cm horizontal, creating a regular small-scale rhythm of pale motifs across the green background. The colourway reads as a lively, cool-leaning green rather than olive or sage, with the white design standing out sharply and keeping the overall effect crisp. With 71 threads per cm, the cloth has a finely woven surface that supports the clarity of the motif and the smart, tailored look of the print.

How to use it

Use it where you want colour without heaviness: the fresh green works well with pale oak, chalky paint colours and simple white trim. It is especially effective on an occasional chair, bench cushion or Roman blind when you want the small white motif to stay visible from across the room.

A lively green ground keeps the small white motif crisp and easy to layer with natural woods or painted finishes.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Dabu Spirulina without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
